aBOUT OWNER
Damon M. Roundtree’s 20 plus years of work experiences encompass actual hands-on construction including carpentry work and residential renovations, to management experiences as a Site Supervisor, Project and Construction Manager, Owner’s Representative, VP of Business Development and Business Owner. He is results–oriented and is knowledgeable in various facets of the construction industry. Mr. Roundtree has a verifiable track record for the successful completion of multi-million dollar projects through soliciting subcontractors, coordinating trades, developing partnerships, and building positive rapport with architects, vendors, engineers, and clients while maintaining cost. Past projects include participation on the downtown Baltimore Columbus Center, Flaghouse Court Development, Frankford Estates, Marriott Waterfront Hotel, Exelon Base Building, Point Street Apartments, Huber Community Life Center, Maryland LIVE! Casino, MGM Casino at National Harbor, construction of the East Baltimore Community School for EBDI/JHH, Renovations at the Rognel Heights Elementary/Middle School, the Little Hands Childcare and Early Learning Center on Allstate Insurance’s Campus in Northbrook, IL, as well as numerous other projects that can be reference upon request.
While attending the University of Maryland Eastern Shore, Damon majored in Construction Management Technology and received a Bachelor’s Of Science degree in 1995. From there he was recruited by Pepper Construction in Chicago, IL where he was a Project Manager for 3 years. Returning to Baltimore in 1998, Damon worked at Mahogany Construction and Struever Bros. Eccles, & Rouse over the next 2 years, before landing a job with Doracon Contracting, Inc. where he spent 9 years. After a 2 year stint with Economic International Construction Company as the VP of Business Development, he ventured out on his own to perform constructing consulting services as Deimar Consulting, LLC. The name was changed to Emerge Contracting, LLC in 2014 where he is currently the President and Principal.
Mr. Roundtree is experienced in running multiple projects simultaneously. His experience includes, but is not limited to, managing and supervising the renovation of residential/commercial properties, as well as site infrastructure development projects, buying sub-contracts, coordinating work on site, conducting owner meetings and managing the mandated documentations for each project. Damon is versed in safety and compliance management, contract negotiations, project estimating, material procurement, building codes and general construction regulations. He is capable of organizing, planning, and managing the overall development for construction projects both small and large.
